Beauty Basics: Mastering my foundation routine.
So after a year of playing, purchasing, practicing, trial and a whole lot of error I mastered my foundation routine. Without a flawless base there is no way for you to accomplish that natural to air brush finish.
When I first started playing around with makeup I purchased the cheapest foundation I could find. It was L.A. Colors foundation, it was dark, oily, and a complete mess to say the least and when I applied it to my face. Let's say it looked like a chocolate mask on my face horrible. I kept at it did some research tried out a few products and finally came up with something that worked for me.
In these pictures I am only wearing Kiss Beauty Balm and L.A. Girls Pro.Conceal on my face.
The L.A. Girls pro.Conceal was placed only in my highlighted areas and blended into the Kiss Beauty Balm. The two of these products together gave ME the right coverage that I needed. Also I used CoverGirl Queen Collection bronzer (ebony bronze) for my contour set everything with L.A. Colors mineral powder (ebony) and blended it all to achieve the finish that you see there.
I added some mascara, used the mineral powder and bronzer as eye shadow along with a peach colored lipgloss from NikaK and I was done.
Simple everyday face or base for a more dramatic look. Either way I have gain a better understanding on what colors look good on me, and that BLENDING IS YOUR FRIEND.
Remember consistency is the key to change.
