No More New Year Resolutions

As January approaches some of us will set  New Year resolutions or refocus our goals for the up coming year. Whether it is losing weight, going back to school, starting your own business, etc.

At times you allow  them to fall by the way side. Because of over reaching expectations combined with lack luster to mediocre efforts  which lead you to have little or no results. That cycle only ushers in disappointment and leads you back down the same path that you are trying to get off. Believe me I know.

So you are like here goes another blogger, giving advice to others as though they know it all. I say this I am not giving advice I am putting myself on major notice. That I need to stop the same cycle of lack luster effort and then later being frustrated at my mediocre results.

So as a part of my New Year's goals I am blogging my experience. With turning wishes to goals, and goals to accomplishments. So let the journey begin.

HOW DO YOU STOP THIS CYCLE??....

First step is the easiest step and the outline on where you want to direct your life, well at least 12 months of it. Write down your most modest to you wildest dream as though money were no bounds.
See that wasn't so bad.

Now here comes the real work.

Second step go through that list and carefully chose items that can realistically be done within the next 6-12 months and the realistic steps it would take to make those items to get those items done. This is repeated two more times and setting goals for the next 3 years , and 5 years. Whatever is left will be considered  your "wildest dreams".

When those steps are completed you have turned your wishes into goals for you to work on within 2013. A set outline on things that you now know can be done realistically.

I will come back with monthly updates about my progress and what things have changed, my trying times, exciting times, and everything in between.

You and I both know it is not that easy as to write in down and poof it will happen. It takes ambition, drive, faith, prayer, and work to get those goals accomplished. Yet I know it can get done. No it will get done in spite of what life will throw at me.

Because at the end of the day I would rather take small steps towards accomplishing my goals. Than to waste my talent or miss my opportunity to allow my wildest wishes to come true. All because I did want to move in a forward direction.

So starts, check out my first vlog on NO MORE NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION.

Let me know how you plan to move in a forward direction in the comment section below.

Stay blessed,
