As a beginner buying the correct foundation can be overwhelming.
The biggest problem when purchasing foundation for me is WHAT COLOR DO I BUY. I am a cool, neutral or warm. Do I have yellow, red, orange, or pink undertones and What is an undertone. Do I want semi matte, matte, demi matte, dewy, illuminating, glowing, etc. Do I want full, medium, shear, buildable coverage. Oily, normal, combination, or sensitive foundation coverage...This can go on and on.
I was so confused and taken back by such a varied selection of foundations to choose from. So for the longest I used Ruby Kisses 3D face creator (level 15) and I kept in moving and occasion used Maybeline BB Cream (medium/dark)if I felt like having a full face. Because that was all I could really handle and the fear of looking like I have on a orange or grey mask on my face in attempting to wear makeup.
So earlier this week I went out on a limb and purchased two foundations Maybeline FIT ME#355 and CoverGirl 3in1 #857 (soft sable) at my local Walmart. I want to step it up with my makeup skills and the only way to do that is to practice and purchase. So that's what I did.
In this photo I am wearing CoverGirl 3in1. I love the coverage looks real natural and my skin show through. The foundation is buildable if you want more coverage. The foundation came with a pump and the formula is thick so a little goes a long way two pumps and it did my whole face. No setting powder needed, smooth finish, and doesn't oxidize to dark. Since concealer and primer is added already this foundation is perfect for a beginner starting out. I will be adding this to my makeup collection.

As a beginner you have to understand that it is all a process, and even the most seasoned pro can still get it wrong. I glad that I decided to try something new and probably will try out the Revlon Nearly Naked. Stay tuned for my 21 looks in 21 days coming soon.
This was Afrikah's Perspective
Stay Blessed.
