Back to the regularly scheduled program

Its been a while but I am back. Been in transition and chaos at the same time. Still transitioning however,  I had to center myself and get back to my mission of personal and professional growth.

Now on to the fun stuff MAKEUP ♥..so I got inspired by my favorite YouTubers Destiny Godly, gossmakeupartist  and  a few others also the makeup group I am on via Facebook and got down with mission of beating my to the Gods (beginner version atleast).  In my last makeup look blog I was getting myself comfortable with applying makeup, using brushes, and cause and effect of different products with my skin. Having a good ole time playing in makeup and discovering what looks good on me.

Its been a fun journey so far. The things that I have learned so far is that you must take care  of your skin in order to have a flawless face.
A properly washed and moisturized face wilI allow foundation and concealer to be blended and keeps it from being patchy on your face.

Buying foundation in the drugstore is journey to say the least.  Its all trial and error for me I like a matte finish since my t-zone gets real oily it helps keep down the shine. So far I am in love with CoverGirl's 3in1(soft sable)  and Loreal Truematch (cool cocoa) foundations. I have tried the Maybeline Fit Me (355) and L.A. Colors foundations which left me with a real oily finish despite using a finishing powder.

Highlighting and contouring can be your friend or your worst enemy its all in the application on the process. Doing this changes the dimensions of your face playing with light and shadows. The first time I tried contouring is used a matte dark brown  eyeshadow from my E.L.F.100 palette in the hallows of my cheeks very lightly. I also used CoverGirl's Queen collection ebony bronzer which has a slight shimmer and works great when I am doing a bronzed look.

Originally for highlighting I used powders such as Revlon's PhotoReady powder in medium/deep on my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, cupids bow, forehead and chin. This resulted in a ashy to chalky appearance on my face. So I stepped it up a notch and started using cream highlighters that were only a shade lighter than my skin tone. Which gave a subtle highlight which was ok but I wanted diva glam. So I started using my Maybeline Fit Me as a highlight and it gave me all types of life along Maybeline's age rewind #60 .  And blended until I couldn't blend anymore. Sometimes it was perfection and other times let's say I am glad I didn't have anywhere to go.

Do not be afraid of blush.  A little goes a long way and orange is beautiful on deep skin tones. I started experimenting with blush colors like orange, purple, and a deep pink along with a sublte highlight and contour.  Steps my makeup game up by atleast 10 notches  and brings me into grown woman glam.

I also discovered I am a lipstick junkie. Like I am going to Wal-Mart today to purchase a container just for lipsticks and some lipsticks...lol. I am truly enjoying coming into my own with his makeup thing.  Now off to buy more makeup and most importantly get my business in gear.

Check out photos below of different makeup looks and makeup purchases.
