Trying a little something, something

In the pursuit of beating face to the Gods. One has to practice, practice, practice.

Now I practice and study makeup techniques, trends, and styles. Not to do someone else's makeup but to correctly apply makeup to myself.

In the pictures below is my attempt of something creative.  Yeah, I need to study more. However,  what I have learned so far has me looking decent.

So here are the list of products I used. FYI I PURCHASED WITH MY OWN MONEY.  Everything was purchased at drugstores and beauty supply stores.

Eyebrows- Maybeline eyebrow pencil in dark brown
Used to fill in any sparse space in my eyebrows.
To define my eyebrows I used Black Radiance Under
                        Eye color corrector (medium)

Eyes -            Black Radiance under eye color corrector palette lid
                         primer on my lids.
L.A. Colors jumbo eyeshadow pencil (white) as an
eyeshadow base. To allow eyeshadow colors  to pop.
For my eyeshadow I used my elf 100 palette,  black
Radiance downtown browns, and kiss new york. Blended
For my life. Added a winged eye using an NYX jumbo                           Eyeshadow pencil (black bean).
On my lower lash line I applied a bronze gold shimmer
eyeshadow along with the purple color I used on my
upper lash, and blended the colors together.

For my lashes I used to different mascaras Rimmel's lash
accelerator and NikaK's fuller volume.  I haven't mastered
applying false lashes as of yet.

Face -        I was experimenting with different foundations,  loose
powders, and testing out a new foundation brush I recently
purchased.  I used two liquid foundations Maybeline FIT
ME #355, for highlighting under my eye, down the bridge of
nose, and my chin. This is applied lightly and blended .
Loreal truematch c9 was used for contouring in the hallows
of cheeks , temples, sides of  my nose, and around my jaw
                    line and blended.

In an attempt to make my cheekbones pop. I used two more
highlighting products both from Rimmel; wake me up (light/
medium) full coverage concealer under my eye and blended
it into the Maybeline.  On my cheekbone  I used instant
shimmer (peach glow) a light weight mouse and blended.

I used set my foundation I used NYC smooth skin
translucent powder to set the highlighted areas. To
set my contoured areas I used a pressed powder
from Black Radiance a shade darker. These powders
are applied lightly,  and blended with a soft fluffy
                       makeup brush.

Cheeks&cheekbones-   For my cheekbones I used a bronzer from
Ruby Kisses (golden bronze) and what was left applied
down the bridge of my nose, chin, and  forehead.
For cheeks I used NikaK's eclipse palette pinks and
purples lightly.  And blended my highlight, cheek color
and contour making sure to blend out any harsh lines.

Lips-    Lined lips with NYX  lip pencil (Prune) blended,  then applied
NikaK's lipstick (amethyst) blended and lightly applied it to the
center of my lips, Milani (bronze leaf) was blended into the
center of my lips to create a shimmer effect. On top of that I
lightly applied a Nikak lip color gloss (cape coral). To
              further enhance the shimmer effect.

The objectives I accomplished in this practice round were:
1. Making eyeshadow colors pop.
2. Using a color wheel to select complementary colors for my eyeshadow.
3. Blending, blending.
4. Improve my highlighting and contouring techniques.
5. Learning how to use makeup products in different ways.

Things I  need to improve blending,  coming up with makep looks of my own, highlighting and contouring.

Overall I feel as though I didn't do a bad job. So I will try my hand at attempting some of my favorite beauty YouTubers makeup tutorials. Well my version of it any way.

Until then stay blessed
