NikaK Geisha palette

After retail therapy I need to try the products right.....

So I got to practicing my technique with blending and giving my eyes more dimension and shape.  With me purchasing a good round of beauty supply store makeup now was as good as time as any.

With this makeup look I wanted to highlight and contour and have medium coverage without liquid foundation and a ton of products. Also, I wanted to work on my blending as I stated before to give my eyes more pop with my eye shadow application.

Per usual I start with a freshly washed and moisturized face not doing this step will cause your makeup application to look tragic trust me I know.  Filled in my brows and defined them using products in top left picture.

Next I used Revlon's precious metals gold tone colors as a base.

Now for the fun part using NikaK Geisha palette. Based on other NikaK products that I have purchased work well for me and I wasn't hesitant to purchase them.

Now for the Geisha palette, the pigmentation of the eye shadows are great. Color payout is awesome for the price point. The gold eye shadow has a yellow tone to it. The brass eye shadow has a slight gold shimmer to it. As well as the dark brown in the palette. All shadows and blush in the palette has shimmer to it. The colors that are supposed to be blush colors will work more as a brow highlight or a cheek bone highlight for my skin tone.

After finishing my eye look I went ahead and did some experimenting with my color correctors and highlighting creams as pictured below.   I used L'Oreal, Maybelline, and Rimmel concealer and color correction.
I used the Maybeline age rewind right under my eye,L'Oreal concealer crayon right above my cheek bones and  a little of Rimmel wake me up on my cheek bones for added shimmer.

Contouring and "foundation" where done with powder only. Contour powders were Black Radiance pressed powder (rich mahogany) and CoverGirl Queen Collection bronzer (ebony bronze).  Contour was applied to my temples hallows of my cheeks, side of my nose and around my jaw line and blended so there wouldn't be any harsh lines.

I set my highlighted areas with L.A. Colors mineral powder (mocha) cause it has a slight red under tone which plays well with the products that were already on my face.  The rest of my face I used L.A. Colors mineral powder (ebony) I also used this powder to tone down contour or highlight if they were to harsh.

Onto my lips, I used the Wet n' Wild (pretty primsimon)  lipstick as a base and used lip liners and lip gloss to change the color. The picture on the left I paired the lip stick with NYX lip pencil(currant)to bring out more of the red. The picture on the left I used NYX lip liner (purple rain) and NikaK lip shine (essence) to create that lip color.

Overall, NikaK products are very good for their price points. Color payout, pigmentation, and quality is great for me. Since I am still a beginner at this makeup up thing and still improving on my technique.

My critique on my look would be better color selection for my eye looks and playing with the dimension of my eyes to make them pop.

Until next time, Stay Blessed
