Summer is in full swing and so are the vibrant colors that represent the season. So i wanted attempt a popping look, well try at least...
To accomplish this look I used my NikaK rainbow and eclipse palette along with my ELF 100 color eye shadow palette.
If you have been following my makeup madness you already know how I start my face, but I did something different for my brows.
I used two different type of concealers to define my brow and eye shadow to make them appear thicker and a better shape. L'Oreal concealer crayon was used under the brows and Black Radiance under eye color corrector (medium) on top of my brow. I blended them to the makeup gods.
For my lids I used ELF cream eye shadow duo (purple) I used the lightest shade of the duo. Then applied the lightest shade of pink in the rainbow palette to my inner eye and followed with the a darker shade of pink then purple in the outer corners. I used a little black to deepen the purple. Winged out the eye liner and piled on the mascara.
Something else I did different was to use L'Oreal perfecting base face primer in my T-Zone to allow for a smooth application of my cream highlighting products.
Once my highlight was on I set it with a red under tone mineral powder, contoured with a pressed powder two shades darker than my complexion. I made sure to blend, blend, blend because I knew I wasn't going to put on any liquid/cream/whipped foundation. It was just to dog on hot for that on this day.
For blush I used several products CoverGirl insta cheekbones the darkest shade, NYX mauve blush, and a touch of Black Radiance baked blush (in a cranberry color). I also used another baked blush from Black Radiance (toasted almond) as a slight highlight placed on my cheekbone making sure to blend all the colors together for a soft pink glow on my cheeks.
My lips are popping with NikaK's (lavender tint) lipstick paired with NYX (purple rain) lip liner and viola beat beginner's face.
In order for this look to have that flawless finish you must moisturize your face, use a makeup primer and most importantly blend, blend, blend..
Overall this makeup look was quite fun to create. And I will try some more popping eye and lip stick looks. Why not its only makeup.
This was Afrikah's Perspective
Stay Blessed.
