It's a lifestyle change...Not a temporary fix. | Healthy and Fit

You can't do a temporary fix to a permanent problem.

As of late on the Internet there are a lot of quick fixes, gadgets, drink mixes, and fad diets that will cause you to have dramatic weight loss. However, it seems to be only a temporary fix on a permanent problem.  Maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

In my teens and half of my 20's I was always the "Big Girl". Topping the scale at 250 lbs. at one point, and it wasn't until I change my life style did the weight come off and stay off.

A little fresh green juice goes a long way.

On a recent trip to Jamaica, I drank a lot of natural juice. My enjoyed all manner of that so I had to recreate the goodness I experienced in Jamaica. The green juice pictured above it made of:
 1/2 cucumber
 1 1/2 cups of spinach
 1 cup of grapes
 1 extra ripe mango
 1 cup of strawberries
 1 cup of water
 1/2 cup of Pom Hula*

*used for added sweetness

I blended and strained the green juice for a smoother consistency added ice and enjoyed every last drop of it.

The meal shown along with the green juice. Was pan seared flounder with a warm spinach salad. I topped it with a little feta cheese and Cesar dressing for. Not to much because you can wipe out everything you are trying to do with this meal.

I am not saying that I do not enjoy a milk shake or piece of strawberry cheesecake, etc. once in awhile. I am saying that I eat cleaner 95% of the time to allow for that 5% of sweet fattening goodness.

This was Afrikah's Perspective

Stay Blessed
