Fall is here...well in some parts of the country.
As fall sets in makeup, fashion and beauty follows suit. For me fall makeup means a subdued highlight and contour, with sultry smoky eyes and vampy lips. So I tried my hand at it and decided to take it up one notch. Well for beginners, I added a dramatic winged liner and a custom dark purple vampy lip.
As I stated earlier, fall makeup for me means high drama for the eyes and bold dark lips. For my face I used my concealer primer combo as mentioned in my previous blog. For foundation I used Black Radiance BB Cream (Brown Sugar). For my under eye highlight I used LA Girls (Fawn) making sure to blend. blend, blend, I set my whole face with LA Colors pressed mineral powder(ebony).
Now on to those eyes, I saw a look similar to this on +Who What Wear . Were the model had a very dramatic winged eye, no eyeshadow, a simple face and barely there lip color. Since I was experimenting I decided to add a little color to the winged liner and a bold statement lip.
As for eye color I used Ruby Kisses Nude Seduction palette matte brown, since it is exact match to my lid color. To help add some dimension to my eyes I used CoverGirl Queen Collection Bronzer in my crease and outer 'V' very lightly. Winged eye look is not my strength what so ever it was a struggle to get it to even look similar the photo I originally saw. I used NYC High Definition eye liner(jet Black). The NYC eye liner looks like a ultra fine point felt tip marker.
I used that to initially draw and fill the winged liner and I used it on the bottom lash line. For a twist I used Milani Bella eyeshadow (Bella navy) in the inner third of the winged liner. For the next one third of the winged liner I used a Dark Purple shimmer eye shadow and on the tip of it I used a matte black eyeshadow. Loaded on the mascara Black Radiance Lengthening and Full Effect (jet Black)For the rest of my face I used Ruby Kisses pressed mineral powder (ebony) as a contour. Making sure to use a very light hand, I wanted to restore my natural dimensions to my face without it being so dramatic. I used Milani's Bella Sand as a highlight powder on my cheek bone. CoverGirl TruBlend (440) on my cheeks bridge of my nose. Always using a light hand.
Now for them lips....
That lip color was achieved by filling in my lips with LA Colors lip pencil (eggplant)and Milan's Bella navy eyeshadow with a touch of NYC pressed translucent powder to help aid with that matte effect. Viola! Beginners Dramatic Fall look complete. This was so easy to do and great for beginners to have a dramatic look without it being to hard for us to pull off.
More Fall Looks to Come...
Stay Blessed
