Dread Loc Hair Style | Spring/Summer Protective Style

Per usual I was on YouTube and saw a tutorial on "Faux Twist" on Dread locs by HoneyRoastedAlmond and I had to try it. Since I am always looking for new protective hairstyles for my locs. I changed it a bit to suit my face shape.

I started out with freshly washed and retwisted locs, you must certainly can do this with free form dreads as well. Following her video Faux Chunky "Twist Out"       I twisted my dreads accordingly and used black rubber bands to hold the dreads in place at the base. What I did differently was to add flat twist to right side of my head for a faux shaved look.

This may be a staple in my hairstyle look, I can switch it up a couple of different ways by adding flat twist and changing the amount of dreads that i put in each rope/two strand twist.

The best part about this style
it keeps my hair protected and off of my back. Which is a must in Miami because the heat and humidity are playing together a little earlier than usual.

And Remember do not apologize for any success that you worked hard for.
