Sometimes you have to go it alone.
On Wednesday night I took myself out to see John Legend perform at Hard Rock Live. A great weekday treat, per usual Seminole Hard Rock Casino was buzzing with action from slot machines, clubs, live music playing and lively club hoppers.
The show started promptly at 8 p.m. and when John Legend stepped on the stage the musical experience began. His powerful vocals along with his melodic tone set the crowd on fire. He played an arsenal of songs dating back to his first album to upcoming songs that appear on his album that is set to be released later on this year.
I already was fan of his back when he was singing hooks on Kanye's albums gain a deeper appreciation for him for his level of mastery of his gift (voice) and songwriting. Now that I have seen him perform live and the way he effortlessly transitions between seducing you to making get up a dance is sick *ish in my opinion. Can't forget about his band and background singers who were also phenomenal.
Overall it was a great night out, giving myself a reason to wear makeup, do my hair and get glammed. Hmmm, summer is around the corner might take myself out again, let's see whose playing here.
This was Afrikah's Perspective
Stay Blessed.
