The color wheel series look 1

I know you are like huh? color wheel what does that have to do with make up..

A whole lot. Ever wonder how some makeup artist/enthusiast can pair the right color combination  eye shadow, blush, and lip color. Leaving you with I would have never thought to come up with that color combo.

The color wheel, yes a $2.00 piece of paper that can be bought on Amazon or at any craft store has brought me to beginner level 1.2. Color selection and knowing what colors can be paired together.  The first MUA/makeup enthusiast I ever heard mention using the color wheel with makeup looks is lilpumkinpie05. Check out her channel on the proper explanation on how and why she uses the color wheel.

As for me I wanted to expand on my eye look.  Adding more dimension and playing with more color.  I want to get better at placement of my transition color, crease color and defining my outer and inner v.

In this look I chose a shade of blue-green as my lid color using orange as a crease color and darker shades of purple to define my outer& inner v.  I wouldn't have thought those colors would have ever went together. But that's why I am not a MUA..lol. I made sure to blend, blend, blend so no harsh lines would appear.

There is no foundation on my face I only used Black Radiance and Rimmel as under eye color correctors and set them with L.A. Colors mineral powder (mocha).

This look is only practice for me, I wanted to improve my technique so I can be a better me.

Yeah my dog had to show you his good side.

This was Afrikah's Perspective
