Who told me to try this update

I tried it again guys

I must be gluten for punishment or determined to get it right. Either way I attempted once again to do a acrylic overlay with tips on my nails.

My experience with the first set was okay but they all popped off within a week of putting them on. Which sucked but gave me an opportunity to try it again. I researched via YouTube and asked the young lady in the beauty supply store some tips and went back to work. She explained the key to me using my left hand  to do my right is placing a little bead at the base of the tip. Smooth it out then apply another small bead close to the cuticle and smooth out.

Which made the second time around was far better than the first naturally. I managed to shape the nail to have a more natural appearance. I was also purchased another nail brush to help in the smoothing of the acrylic over my nails and my right hand doesn't look so wonky as it did the first time. Since following the advice of the young lady at the beauty supply store.

As you can see by the pictures I left them plain because I am not the best at applying polish and sitting to allow them to dry.  I place a coat of the brush on gel from Kiss New York's lighting fast gel nail kit. To add a high shine to it. Later on in the weak I applied two coats of a L.A. Colors nail polish (intimate)and one coat of Sally Hansen clear gloss on my nails to for a more polished look.

I am pleased with my second time of doing my nails. They held up pretty well and I am rough on nails.  Although the left thumb nail  came off and some how I managed to break the tip of the right index finger in the process of applying the acrylic overlay.

Things that I know I can improve on first applying the tip on straight. Off by a little it will cause you more time in filing and shaping the nail.  Secondly, having lighter hand when it comes down to apply the acrylic and lastly patience.

That this is something new for me and its okay to mess a few times before I have perfected the applying the acrylic overlay.
