Attempt #1
I started out on freshly washed and my hair was damp so the curl
could be a little tighter. I did not put any styling products in my hair, only essential oils. Taking small sections of hair I wrapped my hair around the pipe cleaner and went on to the next section and ended up with what you see here. It may look ok via the picture. Do not
be fooled, the my hair started unraveling at the ends within a few hours. Which really frustrated me to no end.
I turned lemons into lemonade a styled my hair into an updo which was very cute and it allowed me to keep the pipe cleaners in for at least a week so that I could have some resemblance of a curl when I took them out.
THE TAKE DOWN ATTEMPT #1
I really liked the way my hair looked after taking out all of the pip cleaners. The shape of the bob ended up being A-symmetrical loved that as well. The curls lasted about 2-3 days which is I expected since I did not use any styling products to hold the curl in place for longer.
The only thing is that I wished that it the initial style with the pipe cleaners lasted longer.
ATTEMPT # 2
Here I go again a few months later trying the same hair style pipe cleaner bob.
Per usual my hair was freshly washed and moisturized and I went to work sectioning my hair and curling my hair with the
pipe cleaner. One thing that I did differently was to increase the amount of pipe cleaners from approximately 40 to 60+.
My reasoning for this is to keep my hair form unraveling so quickly. Well it kind of worked this time some hair unraveled instead of all the hair. Also, I was better able to manipulate the hair into the bob style that I wanted.
Additionally, with my hair in the pipe cleaners I can style in it different ways which I love. I experimented with one quick style and I did not need any bobby pins. I rolled the girl into flat twist tucking the lose ends into the twist. Then I manipulated the rest of my hair to give that Farrah Faucet feel. It was a
little messy but you get the picture. The one important thing is the fact that this style lasts.
